Mary Beth Chipkevich
Mary Beth grew up in a large family that regularly moved given duty stations in their father’s U.S. Air Force career. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and Naval Postgraduate School, served twenty years in the Navy, and performed system engineering, program management, and science advisory roles for a university affiliated research center in Maryland. She has been a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church since moving to Annapolis in 1992 and is Treasurer of Elks Lodge 622 in Edgewater. Her favorite activities include cooking, swimming, reading current events and non-fiction, sponsoring midshipmen, and sharing time with family and friends.
Mary Beth believes in the power of prayer and that helping people is largely the responsibility of individual people and privately funded organizations rather than the responsibility of the government and its seemingly endless expansion of taxpayer funded programs. She considers it vital that Maryland state, county, and local election boards adopt different methods and means in order to improve election integrity. She favors local, state, and federal governance that is under God, limited, constitutionally adherent, and fiscally responsible.
